C.E. Lovick was born in Lexington, Missouri, and raised along the Missouri River before his family moved west to Sheridan, Wyoming. There, surrounded by mountains and high plains, he developed a deep appreciation for vast landscapes and the darker corners of storytelling. Following a traumatic childhood, C.E. found solace in reading, drawing, music, and imagining worlds where monsters could be confronted and survived. He was also a dedicated student-athlete and remains a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan.

After studying U.S. History in college, C.E. pursued a long career in music, touring and recording with rock bands for nearly two decades. In 2017, he met his wife Jessie, and soon after began writing fiction. His debut novel, Trail of the Shapeshifter, was released in 2022. Now holding a degree in Software Development and currently pursuing a BA in English, C.E. continues to write novels and standalone works while living in Littleton, Colorado, with his family and their cat, Kitty.
