C.E. Lovick was born in Lexington, Missouri. His father, a railroad foreman, moved the family to Sandy Hook, Missouri, where C.E. spent his childhood exploring and dreaming in the verdant Missouri landscape alongside the mighty Missouri River with his three siblings.
In 1990, the family embarked on a new chapter, moving to the western United States and settling in Sheridan, Wyoming. It was here that C.E. fell in love with the wide open spaces, the mountains, and the stunning beauty that graced the high plains. It was also here that C.E. came to embrace the dark.
Through a series of traumatic childhood events, C.E. managed to find solace in reading, drawing, and daydreaming about imaginary situations and creatures that protected him from the real monsters that lurked in the shadows of his life.
C.E. was also an avid student-athlete, excelling at sports such as baseball and basketball. Because of his connection to Missouri, he is a diehard St. Louis Cardinal fan to this day.
After graduating High School, C.E. went to college and majored in U.S. History.
C.E. grew restless in college and soon found himself playing electric guitar in a local rock-n-roll band. Finding that he had a natural talent for music, C.E. and his band toured Wyoming and soon recorded an album. The band was getting bigger and better, and in 2000, the group moved to Denver, Colorado, to expand their reach and grow their fanbase.
However, after only three years, the band that moved to Denver broke up. C.E. played music with several bands for another fifteen years before calling it a career. During that time, he welcomed a baby girl into the world, and on New Year’s Eve 2017, C.E. met the love of his life, “Jessie.”
It was at this time that C.E. began writing. Jessie and C.E. were married on July 1st, 2021, and on November 22nd, 2022, C.E. released his first novel, “Trail of the Shapeshifter.”
After his first book, C.E. enrolled in college to continue his education, and since earned a degree in Software Development. He is currently enrolled and focused on earning a BA in English.
At present, C.E. has finished the rough draft of his second novel and is planning a third, as well as multiple standalones.
C.E. and Jessie live in Littleton, Colorado, with their two kids and a cat named Kitty.
